How do Seasoned Soul Subliminals CDs differ from my Guided Meditation CDs?

Seasoned Soul Subliminal programs and Guided Meditation programs work to help you achieve the same types of life-enhancing goals. However, they use distinctly different methods to do so. Your Guided Meditation CDs are for times when you can relax and give yourself entirely to the messages on the CD. Often, they induce a level of self-awareness similar to that of hypnosis and therefore, the Guided Meditation CDs should not be used when you're engaged in other activities, especially driving.

Conversely, Seasoned Soul Subliminals CDs don't even require that you pay attention to the music for the messages to work, which makes them ideal for playing in the background no matter what you're doing. Someone told me that subliminal messages address our chakras...what's a chakra and is that true?

While it might sound vaguely like a medical problem, our chakras are actually the key energy centers throughout our body. To those who practice or study Eastern religion, meditation, yoga or many alternative healing approaches, chances are the concept of chakras is not a new one. And, yes, subliminal messages are tailored to different chakras throughout your body, where their meaning will be most effective and best received.

How do I find out if I have chakras?

Trust us, you have chakras-even if you had no idea. And while it might sound at first like a medical problem to seek treatment for, our chakras are actually the key energy centers throughout our body.

How many chakras do I have?

Loads of 'em. But don't panic. There are a mere seven key chakras in our bodies, each of which is believed to be located in a particular part of our bodies and, in turn, affects specific body parts, as well as qualities.

What are the seven chakras and what do they affect?

We'll only tell you if you promise not to get overwhelmed trying to keep them straight! You don't have to know what they are in order for Seasoned Soul Subliminals' positive messages to take affect, but it may intrigue you and help you to better understand and accept your self-healing process. So here they are:

  1. The Crown Chakra is located at the top of our heads and not surprisingly is associated with the pineal gland, cerebral cortex, and our central nervous system. The energy within this chakra affects our spirituality, wisdom, and awareness.
  2. You may well have heard of the Brow Chakra referred to as The Third Eye (yes, this is what your yoga teacher has been talking about!) Located in the center of your forehead, the Brow Chakra is associated with our pituitary gland and affects our intuition, perception, clarity, inner vision, and inspiration. It's not hard to see why this is a crucial energy base for any self improvement attempts!
  3. Third is your Throat Chakra, located exactly where it sounds and not surprisingly, affecting our ability for sound, self-expression, voice, speech, honesty, independence, artistic ability, and independence. It relates to our thyroid, parathyroid, and hypothalamus.
  4. Again, the Heart Chakra is pretty much what and where it sounds like, affecting our thymus, heart, and entire circulatory system as well as our ability to love ourselves and others, our compassion, forgiveness, trust, understanding, integration of mind and body.
  5. The Solar Plexus is the fifth chakra, and you've probably seen it on charts at your doctor's office or at the gym. It's located just north of your navel and is tied into all the surrounding organs and systems, including your pancreas, stomach, liver, gall bladder, and nervous system. It affects your metabolism and digestion, of course, but also your ego, fear, sense of self-identity, responsibility, and power.
  6. The sixth chakra goes by many names. We'll refer to it here as the Sacral Chakra, to help you remember where it's located although many prefer to think of it as the Sexual/Creative Chakra for obvious reasons. It exists within your pelvic region, on the other side of your navel from the Solar Plexus and affects the ovaries, womb, testicles, and prostate, in addition to the spleen, bladder, and genitals. It won't surprise you to learn that the Sacral Chakra affects your sexuality, reproduction, and even self-gratification, but it also affects our emotional security, sense of personal love, desire, and self-esteem.
  7. The seventh key chakra is your Root or Base Chakra, located at the base of the spine, in the perineum-the space between the anus and the genitals. (Stop giggling!) It affects the adrenals, kidneys, spinal column, and colon and our security, protection, health, survival.
